Trigonoorda gavisalis
This attractive moth had a wing span of 20 mm. Most of the fore wings wee a bright pink, with a diffuse bright yellow patch in the middle. Submarginal and basal areas of wings were a silvery white. The submarginal white patch had a dark outline. Antennae were swept back over the body. Mouth parts formed a snout.
Spotted under bright lights (on a very dirty car) across a national park
The larvae of these moths feed on the leaves of Mistletoe. They have been spotted in New South Wales and Queensland. Family: Crambidae Subfamily: Odontiinae
