Leafhopper nymph

Description:

Tan leafhopper with translucent looking exoskeleton. There are bright red bands across the abdomen along with white spots. There is a bluish sheen on the leafhopper and on the leaf behind it as seen in the second image.

Habitat:

Elderberry bush under Oak tree where oak woodland meets chaparral.
