Buoy Barnacle

Dosima fascicularis

Description:

These washed up on the shore, never seen them here before. The seagulls were going nuts eating them. I poked one and it moved but have no idea what it could be.

Habitat:

Pukerua Bay, New Zealand.

Notes:

Great find, Traveleer- didn't know that they come with a "buoy". I could just make out the barnacles. Thanks for the ID Machi.
