Weidemeyer's Admiral Butterfly

Limenitis weidemeyerii

I confused this with lorquin's admiral because it has such a deep brown color.

I will update to Weidemeyer's ~ Thanks HeidiEaton

Definitely a Weidemeyer's, which are common around here in the summer. Lorquin's would be way out of range here, and much more orange underneath.
One of my favorite Colorado Springs Butterflies.

Close but now that you showed me Weidemeyer's, I'm thinking its a Lorquin's Admiral Butterfly.
