Pegasus Chalcoela Moth

Chalcoela pegusalis

Description:

Maybe 1-1.5 cm long nose to wingtip moth on my A/C unit. Almost glossy looking. Tan and white markings. This is in the area of direct floodlighting. Identified on Bugguide -- apparently this moth is a paper wasp parasite and will destroy their nests!

Habitat:

west central ga

Notes:

https://bugguide.net/node/view/30632 I assume from the pics from bugguide, this photo is a bad perspective and maybe it's wings were being pulled together by the air intake of the AC unit.
