Golden-backed Caterpillar

Description:

A hairy brown-colored caterpillar about 30mm in length. This species has a distinctive bright yellow band on it's back with another red line in it. This may be a caterpillar from the Orvasca, Somenagenus, Somena or Nygma genus from the Lymantriidae family.

Habitat:

Uncle Tan Bed&Breakfast, Sepilok road, Sandakan, Sabah.
