Oenochroma vinaria
At first this looked like a small, very plain curved looper caterpillar on Grevillea sp. leaves. It then gradually straightened itseld out to look like a twig. Reviewing the pictures later revealed some interesting features. A pair of orange and black tipped horns part-way along the body and further orange lumps in pairs. Two pairs of pro-legs? About 20mm long straightened out.
On grevillea leaves at night in the local school yard.
Also called Pink-bellied Moth.
These larvae eat grevillea and hakea.
