Gypsy Moth Caterpillar

This caterpillar was found in the Chequamenon National Forest near Lake Owen in Wisconsin.


Interesting note in Wikipedia that in the US gypsy moths cause $868 million in hardwood damages per year. Also interesting in the wiki that they were brought here by a scientist in 1868 and some escaped. Oops.
