Desert Coyote

Canis latrans

Description:

Gray coyote, these are much larger than others in the desert. With all the free roaming cattle on the Indian Res, they eat heartily.

Notes:

Spotted this fella while passing through the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, south of Casa Grande, AZ. He seemed pretty tame; I tossed him some food and he came close enough for me to get his picture.
