First let me say Welcome to Project Noah, I hope you have the opportunity to post many more spottings, I for one will be looking for them when time permits. I hope you also have time to look at some of the other spottings that have been posted by other lovers of wildlife. You can choose to follow your favorite people, and even leave comments or simply hit the small heart to the lower left of the photo, which will mean you simply love that spotting.

Very nice spotting of your Asian Elephant. The scientific name for the Asian Elephant is Elephas maximus. A good way to find this out, is to do a google search using the common name. Most of the times when you do that, you will get a link to wikipedia somewhere near the top. In this case I have added it for you here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_eleph... Once there you can find the scientific name which Project Noah needs to help others identify and put your spotting into the proper species category. If and when you have time, could you do this.
