Paper Wasp

Polistinae

Description:

Can't really tell. I've seem hornets, yellow jackets, bees. This guy just doesn't fit exactly within those.

Habitat:

Desert bushes.

Notes:

Didn't seem super excited I was taking pics of it. I had just recently been stung by a yellow jacket and a bit shy to stick around for more than one photo.

Paper wasps often chew on the ends of plants to get the material for their nests.
