Signature Spider

Description:

About 4-5 cm including the legs. The body must be around 3 cm. Black and white horizontal markings on its body. The Web was huge, around 3-4 feet in diameter. 4 zigzag thick spirals seen as signatures in its web.

Habitat:

Forest of Tungareshwar. Spider was sitting in its web that was strecthing across 2 plants.

Notes:

Spider did not move reflexly when approached to photograph. Is it a male or a female? Common name known. Genus-species ID required.

@ ChunXingWong: Thank you for suggesting the ID for this spider.

Only difference noted is that the spider is not having a lemon yellowish tinge on its body as seen in the EOL link pic suggested by you. But that may also be due to the green of the leaves reflecting their light on the spider's body.
