O'Shaughnessy's anole, Andes anole (female)

Anolis gemmosus

Notes:

This lizard was facing straight down on a small sapling at the edge of a trail. At first I thought it was an anole, but now I'm not sure.

Scott, thanks a lot! That looks like a perfect match for a female Anolis gemmosus.

Tom I think your initial impression was correct, an anole. (I am not satisfied that it is Anolis chloris http://www.flickr.com/photos/andreaskay/... given the faint banding on the limbs and tail).
