He was not at all captive, but I had passed him every day on my way to work for quite some time; he got a little used to me :)

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Alberta. I work their as an information officer/ assistant nature interpreter in the summer, so I get to enjoy plenty of wildlife not common to the rest of southern Alberta :)
