Western Trillium

Trillium ovatum

Description:

This type of Trillium starts out as white and as it ages it becomes a pinkish/purple. Three petals and 3 main large leaves like most common variety of Trillium

Habitat:

Forests and mostly in the shade of other trees. Such as grand fir, red cedar, and hemlock; bigleaf maple, red alder. Found in California coastal and the North western states and some parts of Canada.
