Rooster Pheasant

Description:

Large ground dwelling bird. Male has an iridescent green head with large bright red eye patches, white neck ring. The upper body is rust to brown with streaking. Rump has gray to pale blue feathering. Tail is long and pointed and characteristic in identifying the bird. Breast is rust colored with dark steaks.
