Description:

The Common Cerulean (Jamides celeno) is a small butterfly found in India belonging to the Lycaenids or Blues family. Like many tropical butterflies, this species shows seasonal polyphenism, with the appearance differing between adults according to the season. This is the WSF, wet season form.It's a small butterfly with a fast erratic flight. It's a very common butterfly in the park, liking to perch on the end of a leaf. It allows one to get quite close to it.
