A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Glaucomys sabrinus
Lives mostly in abandoned bird nests in black oaks. Can glide up to 150 ft from treetop to treetop.
Mixed coniferous forests from about 3,000 feet to 10,000 ft. Elevation.
This one leapt from my house and sailed to the ground and ran down to the creek, I had taken it from my cat when it ran up on the house. We are right at 3,000 ft.
