Great Golden Digger Wasp

Sphex ichneumoneus

Description:

Same size and shape as a normal paper wasp but the head and thorax have a golden color and the abdomen is divided into black and orange.

Habitat:

Found dying near a rock bed in my backyard.

Sphecidae, Sphecinae, Sphecini, Sphex sp. and look like being Sphex ichneumoneus. Please, verify!
