Delta Flower Scarab

Trigonopeltastes delta

Description:

Pronotum has a yellow delta (triangle) mark and yellow edges. The elytra are black with red markings and dots of yellow. Rear end is angled and light yellow.

Habitat:

Wildlife habitat with many native plants. This scarab is on a Leucanthum.

I enjoy the flower scarabs They always work in a serious manner. The spider was in its typical predatory stance, but just got kicked in the face, so retreated.

I just discovered about 2 weeks ago that this beetle existed. Very cool. That crab spider looks a bit ominous, though.
