Spring Fishfly, female

Chauliodes rastricornis

Description:

Fairly large with grayish coloration. Some darker patterning on wings. In this species, females have serrate antennae (like the teeth a saw) whereas the males have pectinate antennae (like the teeth of a comb).

Habitat:

Forested campground (on the bath house wall) in a county park.

Notes:

I thought that this was a Stonefly originally but the head and thorax are of a different shape and the coloration didn't match any of the species of Stonefly.
