Description:

Flesh eating (Sarcofaga) fly. It is ovoviviparous, i.e., deposits already hatched maggots on carrion, dung or open wounds. Exact identification of these species require the examination of dissected male genitalia. Flesh flies can trasmit leprosy, intestinal pseudomyiasis to people who eat their larvae and also cause myiasis in animals.
