Chlorophyllum molybdites
That's too bad, but it makes sense. Too much editing on a photo and it could possibly complicate the identification process!
Thanks, I've been told no app filters allowed so I have to take down the retro lookin one
This is a very mature C. molybdites, and the cap usually splits like that upon age. Here are some quick pointers that let you know its ID:
1. Occurs on grass in an urban setting, i.e. on the grass of somebody's lawn.
2. Has ring on stem (your second photo shows this well).
3. Has little brown specs known as warts near the tip of a white cap.
4. Has greenish-gray gills on the underside of the cap; gills free.
Don't think about eating it unless you want to be miserable for a couple of days! This common lawn mushroom is also a common cause of mushroom poisonings across all the United States. But aside from that, I really love the second photo! Looks so retro, as well as the familiar shroom. :)
