White fungus

Description:

This fungus measures about 3" from where it emerges from the cohune palm nut to its tip. Perhaps the fact that it is on the slowly rotting conhune nut is important for identification, but maybe not. The texture is rubbery and not shiny.

Habitat:

This was found near the Macal River in a moist, dim subtropical forest of Belize

Notes:

No idea what this might be. None of my searches produced a similar likeness.
