Beautiful photo, but I think this is Malachite Kingfisher (Alcedo cristata) - and not African Pygmy. African Pygmy Kingfisher has a distinguished orange supercilium, the blue-and-black crown does not touch the eye, like here https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/68.........
And it is a dry-land kingfisher.
Gorgeous bird. Great photo. I was at lake Baringo in 1983. I doubt too much has changed in all that time, unless the lake has dried up.
