Ribbon Snake

Thamnophis sauritus

Slender basically black w/ two primary stripes running from its head area towards the end.

Observed at a County nature preserve on the boardwalk. It crawled onto the ledge of the boardwalk when visitors walked near it. It did not move/flee any further; but stayed in plain sight against the contrasting grayish boardwalk.
