Description:

They are generally recognized by the all-red abdomen of females and the usually red-and-black abdomen of males. They are small to medium in size, and all are parasites of other bees, especially other halictids. Sweat bees are name for alighting on your arm in warm temperatures. (per Kenn Kaufman)
