Description:

4th instar Cecropia. this guy is one of my released specimens... this is how he looked 1 week later, when I went to check on him. Still on the same branch, eating away! note the bright blue iridescence common to the 4th instar.

black cherry leaves. I introduced willow as well, temporarily, so I could ease a handful of them into being released on a willow tree nearby. They took to it quite readily- but seem to prefer cherry if there's a choice.
