Not totally sure this ID is correct. Can find no reference to it growing in tropical rainforest.

I think it could be one of the Xylaria species.

I like the look of this "zoombie fungus". With a good imagination it looks like arms are stretching up from under the ground. But I have no idea what the real name might be :)
