The pale body scales reflect tints of pink, orange, copper, blue, and green. The underside is off white or gray. Males have blue patches on the throat and sides of the belly. Belly markings are faint or absent in females. The scales on the tail are larger and more spiny than those of the body. Males have blue patches on the belly and throat.
