Haven't heard of that one Martin. Just looked it up. Looks quite a bit like our tailed Jay, doesn't it? Is it a speedy Gonzales like the Jay? The only other ones I have managed to photograph have been with a very fast shutter speed when they were feeding. They never stay still - well only like you say, while mating!
