Shiny Flea Beetle

Asphaera lustrans

Description:

Beetles with metallic blue shield and bright red. There were several of them in the same plant. About 2.5 cm long (1 inch) the female on bottom ( I think)

Habitat:

Semi desert area.

Flea Beetles. They look very similar to the Shiny Flea Beetles - Asphaera lustrans - of the southern United States.
