Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.

I can't help you with the genus. The ID on Halictid bees depends on face proportions and distances, and a few other very small details on the body. At least I am sure this is a male bee
