Description:

Purple flowers with petals that come together in a horn shape. No leaves on the stalks, just at the base. Flower stalks several cm tall with one flower each. Violet or Southern Butterwort. They trap arthropods in their leaves and digest them for nutrition

Moist soil at Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park
