Albizia julibrissin
Thin smooth bark, leaves are feathered/fern like. Flowers usually pink and showy. Fragrant sweet, fruit oval and seed pods. Introduced to the US in the 1700s and now considered invasive. Easily seeds prolifically and resprouts quickly when cut. Seeds can remain dormant for a long period.
Loves sun and can adapt to many habitats. Not tolerant of colder climates.
Found this in Tassajara area. But seen them along paths, freeways and meadows where they tend to spread. Beautiful trees.

Thank you, when I use to live in a house I planted a Chocolate Mimosa. The leaves were maroon colored.
Where I live they are considered invasive but they are very pretty.
