Hema Shah, just checked out your spotting of the North Pacific Rattlesnakes, very cool! For all of the time I spend outside, this was only the second time I have encountered two snakes mating, so it is a really special experience when you come across something like this.

found something similar,though the pictures are not as great as yours!
I discovered that only after uploading the pictures and it was a total surprise to find two snakes!

Hey rams4d, definitely a couple. Found them mating under a mesquite tree near a cattle tank.

Awesome pic...I see them every once in a while but I've never intentionally taken their picture...I've never been brave enough to get close enough to get a descent picture with my camera
