Renia adspergillus
Beautiful brown moth that seemed to be mimicking a skipper with the clubbed antennae.
Positively phototactic.
Interesting, ForestDragon! Thanks for helping!
Here is my Sober Renia: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/120...and I have another Renia moth in my spottings, the Fraternal Renia:http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/115...
The Speckled Renia was my best guess as well. I think mine is a Sober Renia(at least that is my best guess). I will post it soon.
Thanks again, ForestDragon, it appears to be the Speckled Renia, don't you think? http://bugguide.net/node/view/156054/bgp...
Thanks, ForestDragon! I'll take a look when I get home.
I think it looks most like these actually:http://bugguide.net/node/view/10785/bgpa...Litter Moth, Genus Renia. The individual species seem to have a lot of variation.
Ah! I have photos of a moth just like this that I haven't been able to identify either. Those antennae seem pretty distinct. I should post it as well. I believe it is a species of Owlet moth. Still searching.
