Cosmopepla conspicillaris
Stink Bug Cosmopepla conspicillaris is Black with Orange eyeglass marking over upper portion of scuttellum. Dual dot design in eyeglass shape on upper scutellum or shield is Black. White disc shape mid scuttellum. Under shield marked in wavy white pattern. Underside body black. Legs black. Antennae black.
This Stink Bug can be found on hillsides and low spots in meadows where plants and grasses and grassland herbs grow rich and dense. On mophead hydrangeas or snowball bush. On live oak,chaparral habitat. On Stachys bullata, in areas where Stachys sylvatica, commonly known as Hedge Woundwort, and sometimes as hedge nettle grows. In areas of Ornamental plants,shrubs. Gardens,fruit trees and trees. Isolated State regions. See map details at reference links provided.
Information on Cosmopepla conspicillaris is limited. Very unique Stink Bug due to stunning color and markings. This Stink bug appears to be new to the Pacific Northwest,Wa. area from researching associated maps and literature. Unfortunately Stink Bugs are a threat to plants,trees and fruit crops.

Nice spotting! i'm a big Cosmopepla fan. There is a large population of them on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, OR. You're correct, there is really not a lot of info on C. conspicillaris. Even less on C. integressa! I'm glad to see this spotting and where they are popping up.
