Description:

Fleshy fungus with brown warts on the cap and cream-colored gills. Mushroom is pictured just an inch or two above the water line. Estimated cap size is 3-4". It was soft and slightly wet.

Habitat:

Seen in shade, growing on a lichenized, rotting tree stump in the mangrove swamp at Everglades National Park.

Notes:

I've never seen this species before, let alone heard of it!
