Little Egret

Egretta garzetta

Description:

Little Egrets are mostly silent but make various croaking and bubbling calls at their breeding colonies and produce a harsh alarm call when disturbed.

Habitat:

dry, urban. warm temperate to tropical parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Notes:

I was riding a bicycle around Ayuthaya and visiting different temples. I spotted this bird near a drainage ditch along side the road. I couldn't get very close and it kept moving, hence the less than stellar photograph.
