Goose grass

Galium aparine

Description:

The new shoots are edible raw despite feeling a bit odd on the tongue due to small hooks on the leaves. Further down the plant is too stringy to be enjoyable and the small, round seed pod things are hard (don't eat)

Notes:

Very common around here
