Be careful!! I was in past several times happy to find an "almost trashed" shot of a butterfly or other insect from a different view which helped me to get an ID, even the quality was poor as qualified for trashing!

UH at the moment i am pre-classifying flowers by colors...orchids by color and size of the flowers...
Insects by order or family. etc... It is a lot of work, but I remove all non-useful ones.

On my hard disks there are in the meanwhile probably more than 500000 pictures waiting to be sorted, deleted, named, IDed... If you lend me some hours from your time...
