Purple Saxifrage

Description:

In the very high Canadaian arctic I stumbled on these wonderful purple flowers. I think it might be the Arctic Payya but I'm not sure.

Habitat:

High arctic of Canada. Cunningham inlet, just south of the northwest passage.

Notes:

Very small, almost ground cover, but beautiful colour.

ArgyBee You are correct. Looks like it is an arctic version of Purple Saxifrage.

Nice find. Looks a little bit like the Purple Mountain Saxifrage but it has four petals. Hope someone can sort it for you.
