Trifolium pratense
Perennial herb. Height 15–50 cm. Stem ascending–erect, often with many stems, runnerless. Flower corolla irregular, violet-red (sometimes light red–white). Leaves alternate, stalked, stipulate - blade with 3 leaflets, leaflets lanceolate–elliptic, usually with white blotches.
Fields, meadows, banks, waste ground, yards, forest pasture, forest margins, shores, rocky outcrops. Also fodder plant.
The picture taken at Saunalahti building site, Espoo. The inflorecenses of this individual were huge, about 4 cm in diameter.
