Painted Bunting (female)

Passerina ciris

Habitat:

Found in low brush around pine trees near Headquarters Pond at St Marks NWR, Florida

Notes:

The upper wing color is greenish yellow and the belly is more yellowish. The bird also has a light eye-ring. It stayed low and secretive in brush, eating seeds at the end of stalks of grass. Not sure if this is a female Painted Bunting.
