Popillia japonica
This beetle is about 15 mm (0.6 in) long and 10 mm (0.4 in) wide, with iridescent copper-colored elytra and green thorax and head. It is a clumsy flier, dropping several centimeters when it hits a wall. These insects damage plants by skeletonizing the foliage, that is, consuming only the leaf material between the veins.
Seen in a wooded area.

You're welcome!
Thank for the info and great photo
What I have is a set of 3 macro converter lenses (1, 2 and 4x magnification) from Hoya. For about the same price, Karen Ranger got a snap-on macro lens that she really likes by Raynox. And I just heard that Canon has an actual macrolens for about twice the price; maybe you can find a used one. You can look those products up on the Internet; I don't want to be a sales promoter here :) I usually use a different Canon camera but it is in for repair and I'm appreciating the Rebel again! Good luck!
Funny you have the same camera as me. Were did u get your macro, im looking for a cheap one.
Thanks, DevonJerothe. This was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel and a 18-55 mm lens; I had a screw-on macro lens that magnified 2x.
Very nice may i ask what camera and lens did u take this with
