Thanks for the help Jellis. The locally used name we encounter in Peru is Crested Forest Toad...also referenced this way in "Reptiles and Amphibians of the Amazon: An Ecotourist's Guide" by Bartlett and Bartlett (2003).
Such is the problem with common names!! Appreciate your help with the correct scientific name.

Can you tell us...did Rhinella replace Bufo as a genus? or is it a new genus?

South American Common Toad
There is some mismatches on the web on this.
seen it as Crested Forest Toad- Crested Toad
and scientific name also as Bufo margaritfer
