Ladoffa sannionis
This sharpshooter had an interesting behavior while feeding. It left it's wing's open. I haven't seen this with any of the other hoppers. Like many, it was feeding on hibiscus leaves. I had seen this many times for only brief glimpses and was dying to know what it was. Got lucky!

I can't believe it either. I initially thought it was some weird fly or something else because I never saw it for more than a millisecond!
Wow, amazing color. Awesome you were able to get shots of its wings open!
