Cicadetta or Yoyetta pre-moult?

Description:

This small cicada-like critter was wandering around I think looking for a vertical surface to climb. About 20mm long I think it was ready for a final moult.

Habitat:

On a footpath at night at the local school.

Notes:

Could be the Firetail judging by the red showing through it's rear end. Yet to search properly. I placed it onto a nearby tree trunk and it seemed happy but it was too late to watch any moulting process in full.

Sorry no Steve. I was walking the dog near midnight. She wouldn't have put up with the almost hour long process. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/161...

Nice clear shot Mark. You didn't hang around for the "after" shot?
