Diamondback terrapin (hatching)

Description:

Black shell, orange belly with black spots. Ridge down center of top shell, and a spot on each section of the edge.

Habitat:

Found on the beach walking across the sand. Another was found in the stream (very close to the beach) by another couple.

Notes:

It wasn't fearful of us holding it, kept his head and legs out.
